Fresh Presto Sauce with Walnut
Pesto Sauce with Walnuts recipe — a twist on the classic basil pesto that uses walnuts instead of pine nuts for a richer, earthier flavor.

- 2 cups fresh basil leaves packed
- ½ cup walnuts lightly toasted for extra flavor
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil adjust as needed
- 2 tsp lemon juice optional, for brightness
- 2 Pinch Salt and pepper to taste
Toast the walnuts for more taste :Heat a small pan over medium heat and toast the walnuts for 3–5 minutes until fragrant. Let cool.
Blend:In a food processor or blender, combine basil, walnuts, garlic, and Parmesan. Pulse until finely chopped.
Add oil: While blending, slowly drizzle in olive oil until smooth and creamy.
Season: Add lemon juice (if using), salt, and pepper. Adjust taste to your liking.
Store: Transfer to a jar, cover with a thin layer of olive oil, and refrigerate. Keeps for up to a week.
