Ingredients

For Shallow Fry and Grinding

  • 1 Bunch Pudina / Mint Leaves
  • 1/4 Bunch Coriander Leaves
  • 6 Pcs Green Chilli
  • 1 Cup Fresh Grated Coconut

For Chitranna Gojju

  • 10 tbsp Groundnut oil
  • 1/4 Cup Groundnuts / Peanuts
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Chana Dal
  • 2 tbsp Urad Dal
  • 1/2 tbsp Methi Powder
  • 2 lines Curry Leaves
  • 1/4 Bunch Coriander Leave finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 21/2 tbsp salt

Chop Raw Mango into tiny pieces

  • 1 pcs Raw Mango ( Thothapuri )

Instructions

For Grinding Pudina / Mint Paste

  • Add 3 tables spoon of groundnut oil and try Pudina / Mint Leaves, Green Chillis.
  • In a small jar, grind pudina / mint, green chilly , coriander and coconut to a paste with little water.

For Seasoning

  • 1: Heat groundnut oil in a kadai over medium heat. when the oil is hot, add peanuts and keep stirring until they are golden brown. Strain the peanuts to a bowl.
    2:Add mustard seeds to the same oil. when they begin to splutter, turn the heat down to low and add Chana dal, Urad dal and red chillies and keep stirring. when the dals are golden brown.
    3:At low flame add Pudia / Mint Past to the same oil and fry approx 10-15 min or until oil is separated.
    4: Add turmeric and methi powder and mix well , let it settle for 2-3 min.
    5: Add Salt and mix well and turn off the stove.
    6:Finally add chopped or grated mango and groundnut to it.
    7:Add this to hot white rice and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
